Sixteen is a coming-of-age movie about the life of kids in their teens. It is directed by Raj Purohit and stars Wamiqa Gabbi, Izabelle Liete, and Mahek Manwani. The movie is about the world of city teenagers and the way they behave. The movie was nominated for Screen Weekly Awards in the Best Editing, Best Story, Best Ensemble Cast, and Most Promising Newcomer – Female categories.

Tanisha, a smart and self-dependent young girl, starts liking Vikram, who is a new and handsome tenant at Tanisha’s aunt’s house. Ashwin, who belongs to a middle class family, and has a crush on Tanisha. However, his father wants him to be an IAS officer. Ashwin confesses his love to Tanisha. She rejects him, which nearly leads to Ashwin killing himself. When he reaches home, Ashwin is beaten up by his father, who has found porn videos on his computer. Ashwin, in an attempt to defend himself, accidentally kills his father. It also tells the story of Nidhi, a would-be model, who rejects her boyfriend after having used him to her advantage, and Anu, a simple-minded girl, who wants to be a writer.

Sixteen was released in the year 2013 by Fincraft Studio in DVD format. It has a runtime of 138 minutes and has a rating of U/A.
