Hi,
I was given an Android box (box only without power or remote). I don't know anything about these boxes except it is suppose to function as a media player.
After trying a 5v DC power supply from my HDMI switch, I got the box to boot and display the Android desktop on my TV; however, I can't do anything as I don't have a remote.
There are no markings on the outside of the box so I opened it up and attached a picture of the pcb. It looks like it uses an AML8726MX based on my search for the term "HD18 v2.2 f16ref board".
Tried updating the firmware using a couple of ROMs I found on the net but both were a no go. Bluetooth is also stuck at "turning on" which probably means the Bluetooth module is defective.

I am located in the High Park area of Toronto. If you want it, you'll need at least a compatible USB keyboard and power supply?
Any idea?
